    Through innovation and technology, Provenance Consulting provides information management systems and services that track, monitor, verify, and sustain data that personnel use in the operation of oil, gas, and chemical plants and facilities.     Location:

     

    The position is located in Freeport, TX, with possible work at other locations. Travel up to 10% of the time is possible.

     

    Relocation incentives will be provided for qualified candidates.

    Responsibilities

    The Site Lead is expected to utilize expertise in the area of process safety, project management, and leadership to deliver quality results to clients. Focus is on process safety management in the areas of Management of Change, Process Safety Information, and Mechanical Integrity. Emphasis is placed on quality of the work product and the efficiency of work execution. Candidate will determine where client support is needed, develop and execute appropriate solutions, define expected deliverables and ensure overall client satisfaction.

     

    The Site Lead will report to the Account Director who will establish clear expectations in terms of work quality, efficiency, and technical development. The Site Lead will work directly with clients on technical aspects of the projects and therefore must be able to communicate technical requirements and deliverables clearly and concisely. 
     

    To fulfill this role, the Site Lead will:

    • Be client-facing, having a proven record of building and maintaining positive and professional client relationships
    • Provide expert technical checking and quality control to project deliverables
    • Ensure procedures exist, and are kept current and accurate for all work execution activities
    • Oversee the generation and issuance of final deliverables to the client or Project Lead, ensuring that a quality control process has been developed, implemented, followed, and tracked during generation of final deliverables
    • Hire, train, develop, and provide guidance to newer employees as necessary
    • Perform staff-level assignments and resource coordination in a team environment
    • Be responsible for the supervision of junior engineers and technicians carrying out the execution of projects
    • Develop project execution plans and project schedules
    • Conduct project kickoffs and closeouts, presenting and explaining results to clients
    • Effectively communicate project status to the client
    • Reach out to appropriate departments for technical expertise when needed
    • Interpret data from piping & instrument diagrams, process flow diagrams, plot plans, piping isometrics, mechanical design information
    • Ensure adequacy of, and compliance with, all Provenance and client safety procedures that govern the work being performed 

     

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • An engineering degree from an accredited university
    • Three (3) years or more of project management or project lead experience
    • Two (2) years or more of experience supervising employees
    • At least two (2) years of Process Safety Management experience
    • Five (5) or more years’ of overall chemical facility experience, preferred
    • A Project Management Professional Certification, preferred
    • Strong desire to mentor
    • Knowledge in application and compliance requirements of regulatory codes (OSHA, EPA, etc.), preferred
    • Knowledge in application of industry standards, recommended practices, and codes (API, NFPA, ASME, etc.)
    • The ability to organize, prioritize, and execute a heavy work load
    • Strong technical communication ability, both written and oral
    • The unrestricted right to work in the United States
