    Provenance Consulting is a recognized leader in developing and implementing Process Safety Management (PSM) programs for oil, gas, and chemical plants and facilities.     Location:

     

    The position is located in  Borger, TX, with possible work at other locations. Travel up to 70% of the time is possible.

    Responsibilities

    The Data Technician/Scribe will work with a combination of software applications, refinery drawings, and spreadsheets in order to prepare the process hazard analysis (PHA) database, scribe during the PHAs and perform basic clerical duties.  Emphasis is placed on professionalism, quality of the work product and the efficiency of work execution. The Data Technician/Scribe will report to a Project Lead who will establish clear expectations in terms of work quality, efficiency, and technical development.

     

    To fulfill this role, the Data Technician/Scribe will:

    • Scribe and document information from PHA meetings into various software applications
    • Prep the PHA database

    • Manage files and records
    • Generate documents and compile reports
    • Scan, copy and prepare documents
    • Work with plant drawings (piping and instrument diagrams, Plot Plans, and Piping Isometrics)
    • Drive as needed to pick-up and deliver supplies
    • Enter engineering data into various software applications
    • Schedule appointments, meetings and travel

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will:

    • Have two or more years of experience in a professional/office environment
    • Have a high school diploma/GED, or preferably a two year degree from an accredited college or university
    • Have excellent typing skills and provide proof of typing skills assessment
    • Be very detailed oriented 
    • Have the ability to work independently
    • Be proficient with Microsoft Office and be able provide proof of  Exel skills assessment
    • Have a valid driver’s license
    • Have experience in reading engineering drawings, which is preferred but not required
    • Other combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis
    • Have legal authorization to work in the United States
